Charlton Athletic Number 1 Sian Rogers Signs with PBS Football

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the signing of Charlton Athletic number 1 goalkeeper Sian Rogers to PBS Football.

Starting out at the academy at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sian also enjoyed spells at Birmingham City and Arsenal before beginning her senior career at Aston Villa in 2017. Sian then joined the Addicks in July 2022 on a season-long loan from Barclays Women's Super League side Aston Villa, before making the permanent switch in the summer of 2023.

Rogers is a former England youth international who first became involved with the England set up at the age of 13. She has since represented the national team at multiple levels, captaining the U16 side against Switzerland in 2014.

She helped Villa to the Barclays Women’s Championship title in the 2019/20 season and picked up the Golden Glove award after keeping 5 clean sheets in 13 matches. An ever-present force in Karen Hills’ side, Rogers made 24 appearances across the Women’s Championship and FA Cup last season and this season has recorded a remarkable 7 clean sheets in 12 championship games.

On Roger’s signing to the agency, Director and agent Tom Peace was quoted:

“We are thrilled that Sian is entrusting us to represent her best interests going forwards. Sian and I have had really good conversations about her football ambitions and at 25, which is still young for a goalkeeper, she has so much experience at the top level and a lot to offer.

Having already recorded 7 clean sheets for Charlton this season is simply outstanding and I know Sian has many admirers in the game. Charlton will be pushing for promotion to the WSL this year and we will be working hard on Sian's behalf to ensure she will be playing at the top level".

Welcome on board Sian!
