PBS Football client Summer Hughes (20) scored with an excellent finish into the top corner to open the scoring in Ipswich Town's 4-1 win over Rugby Borough.
On her goal, Hughes said, "Honestly, I just needed to make sure I got over it, get a good contact and don't smash it. I was aiming for the top corner so it was good to see it fly into that area of the goal."
Town started the better side, having a few chances inside the first 10 minutes but it was Summer Hughes who eventually put Town 1-0 up following a cutback, with her shot flying into the top left corner.
Town controlled the game throughout, were dominant and always looked the more likely to score, conceding with Rugby's only attack of the game. Ipswich continue chasing down those above them in the table, with focus now turning to Plymouth Argyle next week.
