Update: Charlotte Havern - Brighton & Hove Albion

We are pleased to reveal that 16-year-old Northern Ireland midfielder Charlotte Havern has completed a successful trial period with WSL side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Charlotte, a regular for Northern Ireland's U17 side recently signed for Cliftonville Ladies after departing Linfield FC where she had been a player since 8 years old. With many English clubs expressing interest in Charlotte to trial, Brighton & Hove Albion was the preferred choice due to FIFA's International Trialist ruling prohibiting a player from overseas trialing with more than one club in a certain period.

Charlotte has now been over to Brighton's American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on three occasions which has included featuring in games with Fran Kirby and other first team players. We will update with further developments in due course. In the meantime, with the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship taking place this summer in Belfast, she will now turn attention to the Northern Irish domestic campaign with Cliftonville in what will be an important few months ahead.
